2020 Season Operating Update

Colter Bay RV Park and Campground, Gros Ventre Campground, and Headwaters Campground and RV Park are closed for the 2020 season. 2021 reservations are available at Colter Bay RV Park, and Headwaters Campground and RV Park.

Colter Bay RV Park

Just a five-minute walk from Jackson Lake, the RV Park at Colter Bay Village allows you to experience the lake, forests, and many activities that Colter Bay Village offers. Wake up each morning surrounded by pine forest and enjoy memorable sights and activities one can only experience in this Grand Teton RV resort.

Colter Bay RV Park includes 103 sites with pull-through access and nine back in sites. All include standard hookups of water, sewer, and electricity (20, 30, & 50 amp). All sites in also include a picnic table and most sites are shaded. Showers and coin operated laundry services are available for an additional fee at the Colter Bay Launderette, which is just a short walk from your site. Wifi is available at the nearby restaurants and launderette as well.

Four wheelchair ADA accessible sites are available with accessible picnic tables, leveled sites, and leveled paths to partially accessible restrooms. Accessible showers are available at the Colter Bay Village. A payphone is available at the RV Park campground kiosk. The campground loops are paved and mostly level with some sloping incline and decline.


Colter Bay RV Park is the most popular location for RV camping. Reservations for summer fill quickly.  We recommend making your reservations 366 days in advance of your planned arrival date, due to high demand, we're unable to offer a waitlist.   • Colter Bay RV Park is ONLY available to vehicles that require full hook-ups. (For reference; motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop up trailers, truck campers).

  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities can apply for an Access Pass through the National Park Service. Designated ADA sites are held for visitors with the Access Pass until 5:00 pm, at which time any unclaimed sites are offered to the general public/those on a wait list for one night.

  • A one night deposit is taken at the time of reservation. See policies for our change and cancellation policies.

  • Propane is available for purchase at $4.49 per gallon.

  • The maximum stay permitted at the Colter Bay RV Park is 14 nights, and the maximum cumulative stay between all Grand Teton National Park campgrounds is 30 nights.

  • Check-in is after 12 PM. If you arrive in the evening after the office closes, your site information will be available on the office door. Check-out is 11 AM.

  • Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am. Generator use is not permitted at any time.

  • Tent camping and wood fires are not permitted. Fire pits and picnic tables are available along the lake shore within a 5-10 minute walk of your site. Gas and charcoal grills are permitted, however must be cleaned and stored after use.

  • Camping accommodations are pet-friendly. Please review Campground & National Park Pet Regulations.

  • Wildlife activity is prevalent in the park. Please be familiar with food storage and wildlife safety guidelines.
