Gros Ventre Campgrounds

The Gros Ventre Campground is the closest campground to the town of Jackson (approximately 9 miles Northeast).  Gros Ventre has just over 300 individual campsites and 5 large group sites. Every site is different ranging from wooded to sunny and nestled among trees.  They vary in size and can accommodate RVs up to 45ft.  There are two loop areas that do not allow generators and one loop that only allows tents. Gros Ventre offers campers the best views of wildlife as they make their way to the shores of the Gros Ventre River.  Although none of the sites are on the river, all are within walking distance.

All campsites include:

  • A picnic table
  • A fire pit
  • Nearby bathrooms include flush toilets, with cold running water. Shower facilities are located in the surrounding area, but not on site.

Please note: Maximum allowed per site is two tents, two vehicles, and six guests. (2 motorcycles = 1 vehicle, RV = 2 vehicles, trailer = 1 vehicle)

Thirty-six sites have electricity. Ten are ADA compliant with the adjacent restroom being ADA compliant.

Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations are only taken for group sites. Group sites have a 10-person minimum.
