The Gros Ventre/Kelly Road now is open to traffic, with an alternating one-lane of traffic in the erosion-affected area managed by a lighted traffic control system.  All motor vehicles, as well as bicycle riders, are reminded to obey traffic control devices.  For safety purposes, no parking, stopping or walking is allowed in the vicinity of the affected area.    There are no weight restrictions for the one-lane traffic, but the speed limit through the area is reduced.

The Gros Ventre Campground is the closest campground to the town of Jackson (approximately 9 miles Northeast).  Surrounded by cottonwood trees, bordered by the Gros Ventre River, and with views of the Grand Teton Mountain Range this campground is truly magnificent!

With just over 300 individual campsites and 5 large group sites. Every site is different ranging from wooded to sunny and nestled among trees.  They vary in size and can accommodate RVs up to 45ft.  Thirty-six sites have electricity. Ten of those are ADA compliant with the adjacent restroom being ADA compliant.  There are two loop areas that do not allow generators and one loop that only allows tents. Gros Ventre offers campers the best views of wildlife as they make their way to the shores of the Gros Ventre River.  Although none of the sites are on the river, all are within walking distance of it.

All campsites include a picnic table, a fire pit, and parking for 1 RV or 2 cars.   Nearby bathrooms include flush toilets and cold running water.  Shower facilities are located in the surrounding area but not on site.  Individual campsites are available on a first come, first served basis.  Campsites typically fill 12-5pm mid-June to mid-August and rarely fill outside that time frame.

Group campsites are available for groups of 10 or more, and mainly accommodate tent camping.  Group sites can be reserved in advance starting on January 2nd of each year.
